EL VINO 1872 Quinta da Foz Vinhas Velhas Branco , se destaca en la larga historia de Quinta da Foz como una fecha inmortal, perpetuada en la inscripción sobre una piedra en la fachada de la casa principal, que marca la fundación de la Quinta. Para esta edición se ha preparado cuidadosamente un lote de una serie limitada de 600 botellas numeradas. Procede de las mejores parcelas de viñedos centenarios de Quinta da Foz, con una mezcla de alrededor de 15 vinos blancos.
El color es citrino, claro con ligeros tonos pajizos.
La textura en boca se presenta con buena acidez, equilibrada con un cuerpo untuoso, con algunos taninos aún vivos, que revelan su potencial en botella. Delicadamente vibrante, con frescura y fuerza, en un final redondo y fresco.
En nariz es cítrico, con notas de fruta blanca madura y ligeros aromas florales y cítricos, enriquecidos con aromas tostados, dulces con un ligero toque avainillado y a pan, aportados por la crianza en madera con batonnage durante 12 meses.
