Los vinos utilizados para producir el Fonseca LBV son elegidos entre los mejores y más corpulentos vinos de Oporto tintos producidos en la cosecha de 2016, provenientes de los viñedos de Fonseca y de otras fincas reputadas situadas en las zonas de Cima Corgo y Douro Superior. Estos vinos envejecen en grandes toneles de madera (de aproximadamente 27.500 litros de capacidad) y se embotellan tras cuatro a seis años. Se produjo solo una cantidad limitada de este fabuloso vino.

Núcleo púrpura profundo con borde rojo
En boca, especias, moras silvestres, té Assam con sus notas de chocolate amargo, cacao y un toque seductor herbáceo. Presenta una excelente tensión, concentración de bayas negras silvestres, taninos sedosos y un final fresco y brillante, con un final de boca larguísimo y generoso.
Nariz rica, seductora y muy perfumada. Notas de mora, ciruela y frambuesa silvestres y regaliz, presenta una tensión maravillosa. Las moras aportan una capa adicional de frutas suaves y carnosas, mezcla de frambuesa y grosella, con un toque de dulzura floral.
