Vinificación del Oporto Burmester 30 Años: recogidas a mano en su punto óptimo, las uvas son despalilladas, trituradas y vinificadas según un proceso que se basa en una maceración cuidadosa con extracción de color, taninos y aromas de las pieles, complementado por remontados permanentes durante la fermentación. Esta se realiza en lagares, a una temperatura controlada entre 28-30ºC, hasta alcanzar el grado Baumé deseado. En esta fase, se procede a la adición del aguardiente vínico (beneficio), dando lugar a un vino fortificado. Vino de alta calidad, obtenido por mezcla de vinos de cosechas de varios años, para adquirir una complementariedad de características organolépticas típicas de este estilo de tawny envejecido. Envejece en madera durante períodos variables, en los cuales la edad mencionada en la etiqueta corresponde a la media aproximada de las edades de los diferentes vinos participantes en la mezcla, expresando el carácter del vino en cuanto a las características conferidas por el envejecimiento en barrica.
