Vino procedente de maceración pelicular, fermentado a una temperatura controlada (18-20ºC), que cuando el mosto alcanza el valor de dulzura deseado, la fermentación se interrumpe mediante la adición de aguardiente (77%), siendo posteriormente envejecido en madera de roble en los almacenes de Vila Nova de Gaia hasta ser embotellado.
