Entre las grandes denominaciones de origen de Burdeos, la región del Médoc es también, no siempre lo sabemos, la tierra elegida por los excelentes vinos blancos. Proveniente del viñedo Château Mouton Rothschild, del que le fueron reservadas algunas hectáreas, Aile d'Argent es una prueba impresionante de ello. La vendimia en cajas, la fermentación en barricas nuevas de roble, el embotellado en la propiedad, contribuyen a la elaboración de un vino blanco de gran calidad, digno de la riqueza y sutileza de su glorioso “padrino”. Elegí para este vino, del que tantas hadas buenas confían, un nombre que evoca la memoria de mi padre, el barón Philippe de Rothschild. De hecho, hacía mucho tiempo que él había imaginado para mí, noche tras noche, una historia que conmovió mi infancia. A esta poética historia, escrita en las horas oscuras de la guerra y publicada posteriormente, le dio el título Aile d'Argent. Quería que este título, que alguna vez me hizo soñar, tomara forma y color también para ustedes. La magia de las palabras se convierte en la magia del vino.
