El Cedro, que recibió su nombre en homenaje al árbol emblemático que domina la terraza de la Quinta do Noval, es una expresión auténtica del Douro. Hecho principalmente con las variedades tradicionales portuguesas, también contiene una proporción de Syrah, que redondea y abre la fruta y le da al vino un enorme encanto y accesibilidad. El Cedro do Noval es un vino de mezcla hecho con variedades tradicionales de la región del Douro. Además de estas, también incluye la variedad Syrah cuyas plantaciones comenzaron en la Quinta do Noval en el año 2000. Su expresión varietal se potencia por las excelentes condiciones que encuentra en el terroir de la Quinta.
