Nuestros Oportos Vintage son producidos por la Naturaleza. Cuando pensamos en la naturaleza, pensamos en todas las formas en que deslumbra nuestros sentidos. La naturaleza es viva, móvil y reproductiva. Nuestra naturaleza es crear vinos que muestren la vida y el alma de un lugar y de un vino. Pretendemos verlo vivo en una botella. La idea de embotellar lo que creó la naturaleza es lo que hace que la elaboración del vino sea tan apasionante.
Esta edición especial del 400 aniversario es una celebración del trabajo de nuestra familia con los vinos del Duero durante 400 años, pero también del Oporto Vintage y la grandeza de los vinos que el Valle del Duero puede crear. Van Zellers & Co Vintage Porto está elaborado con las mejores variedades de uva autóctonas de nuestros viñedos viejos. Todas las uvas son pisadas a pie y fermentadas en lagares de piedra de granito. Envejece en grandes tinas de madera muy vieja durante 18 a 24 meses antes de ser embotellado sin clarificar ni filtrar, en la fecha indicada en la etiqueta. El resultado es un vino de color rojo oscuro, con cuerpo y gran estructura, con aromas muy intensos a frutos rojos. Envejecerá durante muchos años. Dado que el Oporto es un vino natural, depositará sedimentos en la botella después de un poco de envejecimiento. Por ello conviene decantarlo con cuidado antes de servirlo a 16°C y acompañar con postres de chocolate o queso stilton.
