Producción del Vino Quinta de la Rosa Tinto: Fue un año seco, demasiado caluroso para Europa y lo mismo para Portugal. Incendios forestales devastaron el campo, ya que todo estaba seco. Las viñas plantadas a baja altitud y con exposición sur fueron las que más sufrieron, mientras que las viñas de blanco, al estar ubicadas en altitud, no se vieron afectadas. Las previsiones meteorológicas no indicaban lluvia; la última vez que llovió fue en la última semana de junio. Una semana después, las temperaturas bajaron y promovieron una maduración fenólica más equilibrada, mejores aromas y mayor complejidad de sabores. Las viñas viejas de altitud con exposición norte, dada la amplitud térmica y que normalmente se cosechan más tarde, alcanzaron excelente calidad. Los niveles de alcohol tendieron a ser más altos y la acidez más baja de lo normal, sin embargo, no hubo grandes evidencias de sobremaduración. Fue un año en que se dio la oportunidad de tener casi todas las variedades listas para cosechar al mismo tiempo, lo que llevó a un desafío logístico y aumento del volumen de trabajo en las dos bodegas. Una vez más, el enólogo Jorge Moreira tuvo a su cargo la evaluación de las maduraciones ideales y la definición del momento de corte.
