Famosa por su Vino de Oporto desde 1751, Ferreira también se dedica a la selección y envejecimiento de aguardientes vínicas de alta calidad. Es en nuestras bodegas en Vila Nova de Gaia donde las aguardientes son cuidadosamente elegidas y envejecidas en barricas de roble de 270 litros. Para obtener la máxima calidad, se realizan periódicamente catas y la introducción de varios lotes de diferentes edades y características. Después de elegir el lote final, la aguardiente se coloca en barricas de 640 litros, donde envejece. La Aguardiente Vieja Chancella se obtiene a partir de aguardientes seleccionadas (licor obtenido a través de la destilación de vinos blancos) provenientes de lotes de alta calidad. Es una aguardiente natural sin aditivos y envejecida durante algunos años en barricas de roble portugués en las bodegas de Ferreira.
