Quinta dos Carvalhais Único es, como su propio nombre indica, un vino singular, un tinto del Dão de calidad excepcional, máximo exponente de la elegancia y riqueza de esta marca. Heredera de los saberes antiguos, Quinta dos Carvalhais combina la experiencia con la innovación para crear vinos muy elegantes, con sabores de intensa delicadeza y la personalidad única de la región. Las uvas fueron vendimiadas por variedad y por parcela en cajas de 20Kg y vinificadas por separado en cubas de acero inoxidable. La fermentación alcohólica duró alrededor de 8 días, a una temperatura media de 28º C, con la Touriga Nacional y el Alfrocheiro en maceración post-fermentativa durante otros 8 días. Tras la fermentación alcohólica, se realizó la fermentación maloláctica en cubas de acero inoxidable. Este vino tuvo una crianza y maduración en barricas de roble francés nuevo y usado, durante 18 meses. Durante la fase de maduración se realizaron numerosas catas para seguir la evolución de los diferentes vinos. El vino fue sometido a una ligera clarificación y filtración antes de su embotellado. Para preservar su máxima calidad, fue embotellado sin tratamiento de estabilización en frío.

Tiene un ataque firme y definido, con tanino pulido, en un cuerpo fresco, elegante y envolvente. La complejidad aromática se confirma en boca complementada con algunos toques florales que perduran en un final voluminoso, delicado, largo y persistente.
Notas de fruta negra y fruta silvestre, matices resinosos, aromas de bosque, musgo, pino, "sous-bois" y un toque mentolado muy fresco.
