Kikusui Sake Co., Ltd. fue fundada en 1956 y es una destilería con una rica tradición en la producción de sake. Con sede en Kuroshio, en la provincia de Kochi, la empresa ha ampliado su producción para incluir ron, aplicando su experiencia en fermentación y destilación. El nombre "Ryoma" es un homenaje a Sakamoto Ryoma, un famoso samurái y reformista del período Edo en Japón.
