Vinha do Lado debe su nombre a que está situada en una pequeña parcela de viñedo junto a Adega Vila Santa en Estremoz. Se trata de una parcela de 1,5ha de Tinta Caiada, plantada en una ladera orientada al sur y con suelo de origen esquisto. La vendimia se realiza de forma manual en cajas de 15 kg. La uva se despalilla y se selecciona cuidadosamente en mesa de selección manual. Después de triturarlos, se prensan en prensas de mármol utilizando el método tradicional de pisar. Pasar a depósito de acero inoxidable donde finaliza la fermentación alcohólica. A esto le siguen 12 días de maceración postfermentativa. Luego se envejece en medias barricas de 300 litros de roble francés y húngaro de 1º y 2º año, durante un periodo de 12 meses.
Corazón intenso
En boca muestra buena acidez, suave, pero con taninos firmes, y un posgusto largo.
Aromas de mermelada, fruta madura, trufa y vainilla.
