Descripción
Núcleo de color negro rubí impenetrable y borde estrecho de color púrpura. Un sello distintivo de Vargellas Vinha Velha, la nariz es maravillosamente equilibrada y completa, revelando múltiples capas y dimensiones del aroma a medida que se abre en la copa. En la base un coulis de bayas oscuras y densas, con aromas de frutas silvestres, cassis y cereza negra. La voluptuosa riqueza de la fruta se ve atenuada por atractivas notas minerales y pedregosas y la discreta picante de las hierbas silvestres y la madera de cedro. A medida que el vino evoluciona, emergen aromas evocadores, de cera de abeja, cuero y caja de puros, y resonancias inesperadas de un instrumento antiguo. El paladar está respaldado por taninos granulares espesos y está lleno de un denso sabor a frutas negras y rojas que aumenta hasta llegar al final. Un vino de proporciones majestuosas que demuestra, si es necesario, que 2017 es un año excepcional para las viñas viejas.
