Situada en el corazón de la subregión de Cima-Corgo y bañada durante 1,5 km por las aguas de la margen izquierda del río Duero, la Quinta das Tecedeiras debe su nombre a las monjas que vivían allí y se dedicaban a tejer el lino que en antiguamente se cultivaba allí. Los suelos son de esquisto y la exposición es norte y este, con los viñedos entre 90 y 190 m de altitud. La uva madura bien y con una gran concentración de aromas y sabores sin perder su frescura. Cuando se reconvirtieron los viñedos, se tuvo cuidado de dejar algunas parcelas de viñas viejas, cuyas uvas se incluyen cuidadosamente en los lotes de todos los vinos tintos DOC o Porto das Tecedeiras.

El aroma revela la elegancia e intensidad características de este vino. Destacan los aromas a frutos rojos del bosque, notas florales y especiadas que aportan complejidad. La madera está muy bien integrada.
