Vinification of Porto Barao de Vilar Colheita 2008: The vinification process takes place in stainless steel vats with 1 day of pre-fermentation and maceration and 2 days of fermentation. A Porto Colheita is a wine dating from a single harvest, aged in casks of wood for seven years and bottled upon request and order. Colheitas Barão de Vilar were carefully selected and aged in French oak casks, to demonstrate a rich and full-bodied structure, with a perfect and elegant balance characteristic of the oldest tawnies.
