The hand-picked grapes are destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation with skin maceration to extract the best constituents. The wines remain in the Douro until transported to V.N. Gaia the following spring, where they enter Offley's century-old cellars for aging in oak wood casks according to the traditional Port Wine system. Over the years, the wines selected for this Offley Porto Tawny 10 Years are carefully racked, tasted, and analyzed, with corrections made as deemed necessary by the Enology team.
