Winemaking: All grapes are harvested manually and come, for the most part, from Quinta do Meco and older vineyards in the Douro Superior. Upon arrival at the winery, they pass by the selection table where a rigorous selection is made. Subsequently, they are de-stemmed, gently crushed and transferred to frusto-conical stainless steel fermentation vats, where they begin alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. During the fermentation process, the French "délestage" technique is used, which, when carried out in frusto-conical shaped vats, has the main objective of increasing the skin contact surface at the moment the must/wine is leached over the masses (hat ). As a result, a concentrated and complex wine is obtained, which respects elegance and avoids rusticity.Aging:Roquette & Cazes aged in French oak barrels, where it remained for around 18 monthsA wine that highlights the winemaking techniques of Bordeaux, in perfect harmony with the identity of the Douro.
