Blended from rare Port wines aged in old oak casks for five decades, Taylor's Golden Age is a special collector's edition released in limited quantities. This 50 year old Tawny comes from the easternmost sub-regions of the Douro Valley, where some of the best Quintas are located, traditional sources of the longest-lived wines. Before being blended, the wines aged in Taylor's Cellars in old oak casks specially selected by the house's master coopers.
Brown core, coppery with a fine golden edge
Plums, quince and apricots dance on your palate while lemon and orange zest provide fresh acidity that balances the richness of the wine.
The primary aromas are elegant, rich and very delicate. Notes of rum and raisins, cloves, nutmeg and hints of ground black pepper
