Duorum Vinhas das AbelhasCastas: Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Sousão, Baga, Tinta Barroca, Rufete, Cornifesto, Tinta da Barca, Donzelinho Tinto, Malvasia Preta, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Brasileira, BastardoVinificação: As uvas provenientes da vinha das abelhas, junto ao apiário da Quinta de Castelo Melhor, são submetidas a uma triagem/escolha à chegada à adega, sendo parcialmente desengaçadas e esmagadas. Segue-se a maceração pré-fermentativa a baixa temperatura em cuba inox, seguida da fermentação alcoólica a 25ºC. Durante esta, procedem-se aos habituais trabalhos de remontagem e “delestage” que visam a extração e homogeneização dos componentes fenólicos das uvas. A vinificação termina com a maceração pós-fermentativa. As massas permanecem em contacto com o mosto até o máximo de 18 dias.Estágio: Em barricas de 300 litros de carvalho francês durante um período de cerca de 18 meses. Utilização de 70% de barricas novas e 30% de segundo ano.

Aroma delicado e complexo, dominado pelos frutos pretos maduros, como ameixa, amora, groselha. A sua complexidade, que tende a aumentar com o tempo, provém dos aromas originados pela sua “élevage” em barricas.
