The Cossart Gordon Vintage Bual 1987 is a single harvest Madeira, aged for 29 years in the traditional “Canteiro” system in American oak barrels, before being bottled in 2016. With a topaz color with golden reflections, it offers an opulent bouquet of toffee, vanilla, spices, dried fruits (walnut, almond) and a distinctive salty touch. On the palate, it reveals a rich and smooth texture, vibrant acidity that balances medium sweetness, and a long, intense, and slightly spicy finish. Awarded the Platinum medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, it is an elegant and structured Madeira, excellent to enjoy on its own or paired with creamy desserts, dried fruits, or a good blue cheese.
