Grapes: Created by Nature, the CV Curriculum Vitae comes from a single old vineyard 100 years old, planted with 35 different grape varieties. With a north-facing solar orientation, here you find varieties such as Rufete, Tinta Amarela, Donzelinho Red, Tinta Francisca, Sousão, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional among others. Vinification: CV - Curriculum Vitae Douro Red comes from a single vineyard in the Torto river valley. All grapes are handpicked and selected before being destemmed and placed in lagares. All grapes are foot-trodden 2-3 days before the start of fermentation. The wine will ferment in lagares and occasionally foot treading will occur to extract tannins, color, and flavor in the wine in a balanced way. The wines are racked into 75% new French oak barrels (225 liters) for malolactic fermentation and aging. This wine aged 26 months in barrels. The final blend was made in January and the wine aged another 2 months in stainless steel until bottling date.
