The Castello D'Alba Superior Red Wine is very elegant and refined with a modern style that preserves the entire soul of the native Douro grape varieties. Vinification: Reception with immediate destemming and crushing. Fermentation in 18-ton capacity stainless steel vats, with maceration at about 26ºC. Intense and prolonged macerations and partial malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aging for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels.

Very smooth and well-matured tannins, fresh and aromatic, very elegant, with an unusually long finish.
Aroma that harmoniously combines the great concentration of the Douro Superior reds and all its complexity, wild berries, rockrose notes, spices, very expressive violets and very fresh notes of basil and bergamot. The aging allowed obtaining a wine of great aromatic elegance, where the aromas of the Douro are not masked by an excess of barrel notes.
