The Henri Giraud Fût de Chêne MV is the house's emblematic multi-vintage cuvée, dominated by about 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ. After fermentation and 12 months aging in Argonne oak barrels (about half new), the base wine is complemented by a perpetual reserve started in 1990, before undergoing a long rest on the lees (about six years). The bouquet reveals richness and opulence – ripe stone fruits, fine spice, pastry notes, salinity, and a menthol touch – while the palate combines creamy structure, vibrant minerality, fresh finish, and silky texture. A sophisticated sparkling wine, ideal to accompany seafood dishes or risotto, or simply to shine on its own.
