Description
The Château Beychevelle 2009 is a Fourth Great Classified Growth emblematic of the Saint-Julien region, the result of an exceptional harvest in Bordeaux. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot gives the wine complexity and refined structure. On the nose, it presents elegant aromas of blackcurrant, violet, cedar, licorice, and hints of Christmas spices, followed by a rich palate, silky tannins, and a long, balanced finish. With scores from Robert Parker 93, James Suckling 94, Wine Spectator 92, among others, it is often described as the best Beychevelle since 2003 (or even since 1982) and is still evolving, with potential until around 2040–2050.
