Vinification: The Envelope Red results from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz, and Red Cão from vineyards that are 40 years old, vinified with 100% stems. Midway through the process, in order to avoid the astringency of the tannins, we interrupted contact with the skins. It aged for 12 months in 300L French oak barrels and then remained for another 8 months in the bottle before being released to the market.
