O nome “Nacional” deve-se ao facto de estas videiras crescerem diretamente em solo português, sem porta-enxerto americano. Considerado uma das mais puras expressões do terroir da Quinta do Noval, este vinho distingue-se pela sua excecionalidade e prestígio. A sua produção não segue necessariamente as mesmas declarações de Vintage da restante quinta, podendo haver anos em que é declarado sem existir um Quinta do Noval Vintage, ou vice-versa. Mesmo quando ambos são produzidos no mesmo ano, resultam sempre em vinhos distintos.Castas: 100% Vinhas Velhas. Elaborado a partir de um complexo field blend de várias castas do Douro, entre elas: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz e SousãoEstágio: O Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage envelhece 18 meses em tonéis de carvalho e castanheiro, com uma capacidade de 2500 litros.

Na boca o vinho é denso, concentrado e de grande precisão, aliando profundidade a uma grande pureza de fruto, taninos amplos e uma frescura que lhe confere definição e tensão. O equilíbrio alcançado na vinha ao longo do ciclo de 2024 confere ao vinho uma harmonia e definição excecionais. O final é muito longo, preciso e persistente. Um Nacional de grande estrutura e distinção, feito para um envelhecimento muito prolongado.
Nariz de grande complexidade, marcado por frutos silvestres maduros, cereja preta e ameixa, envoltos por notas de chocolate negro, alcaçuz e especiarias diversas.
