Michter’s 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye continues the legacy of America’s first variety of whiskey (rye) from the first whiskey distillery in the U.S. (Michter’s, originally known as Shenk’s). After nearly three years of absence from the market, Willie Pratt, then Master Distiller of Michter’s, finally gave the green light for the relaunch of Michter’s 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014. The 10-year Rye editions reflect the exceptional results of uncompromising craftsmanship and Kentucky’s unparalleled climate for aging extraordinary whiskeys. Often aged well beyond the age stated on the label, only a few selected barrels age with the necessary elegance to be included in these extremely limited editions.
