Winemaking of Castello D Alba Reserva Red Wine: Manual harvesting, reception with complete destemming and immediate crushing; the grapes are fermented by grape variety and lot, making it possible to carry out a rigorous selection from an early stage, which will then give rise to the “blend”. This very traditional Old World method showcases the art of selecting grapes by plot and the art of selecting wines before blending. Fermentation takes place in small-capacity stainless steel vats, at temperatures of around 28 ºC. Gentle, controlled maceration is used to obtain elegant and aromatic wines. Aging: Part of the blend ages for 12 months in predominantly French oak, with a small percentage of American oak.

On the palate, it is sweet and enveloping, with very smooth noble tannins and a long, warm finish.
Intense aroma of great complexity, with aromas of berries and cistus from Touriga Franca, spices and red fruits from Tinta Roriz, and very fresh and elegant floral notes of violet from Touriga Nacional.
