Just like the figure that inspires it, Aeternus is a rare wine because of its history. It is born in the best vineyard planted on the terraces of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a century-old vineyard of 2.5 hectares, producing 0.4 kg per plant, with southwest sun exposure and a planting density of about 6000 plants per hectare. Aeternus is a tribute to an eternal work, to a man who loved the land, family, and work. Américo Amorim was a man with a rare and unique intuition for business, who started his professional career at 18 years old in the family cork company and never stopped fighting for his ideals, elevating the cork sector to world leadership, creating over six decades a business group with a grand status in Portugal and worldwide.
