Porto Ferreira Dona Antónia 10 Years is a special wine, a Tawny Port with an indication of age, a symbol of the perfect alliance between the unique nature of the Douro and the expertise of Man, in a harmony of knowledge established in Ferreira for over 250 years. They were vinified by hand using the traditional Port Wine method. The controlled fermentation of the musts took place in stainless steel tanks, being stopped by the addition of wine brandy. The wines were very elegant and with great aging potential. The wines that make up the final batch of Porto Ferreira Dona Antónia Tawny 10 Years remain in the Douro until being transported to the Ferreira cellars in VNGaia during the following spring. Upon arrival, the wines enter the traditional aging scheme of Port Wine, in oak wooden casks, being subjected to numerous rackings, analyzes and tastings, which allow them to monitor their aging, and act with blends, refreshments and corrections whenever the evidence determines it. The final batch is generally obtained using wines between 8 and 15 years old, in order to obtain an average age of 10 years, and maintaining the consistent quality and unique style of Porto Ferreira Dona Antónia Tawny 10 Years.

Ferreira's classic and fresh style are evident, achieving a balance between the different sensations in the body of the wine and the final persistence in the mouth.
It is characterized by a balance between the quality of the original grapes and wine (remembered by floral and ripe fruit aromas) and its aging through oxidation in wood (which gives rise to aromas of spices and dried fruits).
