O Château Branaire-Ducru 2005 é um vinho que carrega séculos de história e tradição, começando em 1680 com Jean-Baptiste Braneyre, que reconheceu o valor dos terroirs de cascalho da propriedade Beychevelle. Com um castelo neoclássico construído pela família Du Luc em 1824, a propriedade passou por várias gerações até ser adquirida em 1988 por Patrick Maroteaux, que revitalizou a vinha, as adegas e o próprio castelo. Sob a liderança atual de François-Xavier Maroteaux, o Château Branaire-Ducru mantém a excelência de um Médoc Grand Cru Classé, refletida na qualidade e elegância do vinho de 2005, que expressa toda a riqueza e potencial do seu terroir histórico.
