Description
Very aromatic nose, and a little drier than what we have come to expect from commercial brandy. Roasted hazelnuts, almonds and hints of smoke. Deep spicy notes (cloves, nutmeg, hints of cinnamon bark) balanced by dark chocolate, plum jam and sticky toffee. Also notes of sweet pipe tobacco. Mouth: again drier than most other spirits. Big notes of oak, which mix with caramel, raisins, prunes and nuts to form a bittersweet profile. Smooth and concentrated at the same time. Hints of herbal extracts (thyme, sage) and cough syrup. Also some licorice.
