Quinta de Covela practices organic farming in granitic soils that form a natural amphitheater facing south. A landscape of terraces planted at low altitude on the right bank of the Douro River in the southern area of the Vinho Verde Region (Minho). Cold winter and hot, dry summer – on the border between the continental climate of the Douro valley and the maritime influence of the Douro Litoral. Manual harvesting. Transport of grapes in small boxes to avoid crushing. Manual selection of bunches. Total destemming followed by gentle pressing. Spontaneous fermentation in used 300-liter oak barrels from Austrian and French forests. Aging on the total lees, with periodic batonnage.

Dry with fresh acidity. Excellent texture, elegant and a long finish (salivating)
complexity. Citrusy fruit (grapefruit), floral, vegetal (aromatic herbs), tree fruits and dried (sweet almond). Mineral, elegant.
