Quinta dos Bons Ares is located in the Douro Superior, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in a very specific terroir, where the granite soil and its altitude give the grapes an acidity and aromatic potential that are unusual in this region. In addition to these characteristics, the other particularity of this wine is the blend between the New and Old World, between traditional grape varieties (Touriga-Nacional and Touriga-Franca) and international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and between the granite mills and the robots in stainless steel. Casa Ramos Pinto has an example of innovative tradition in this wine. A modern classic.
Medium intensity garnet, clean, bright
Elegant and very smooth, silky tannins, refined in the long process of maturation in wood, mark the structure of this 2015, ripe, engaging and with great complexity.
On the nose, the aroma of humus (sous-bois) characteristic of our Bons Ares reds stands out, with notes of cocoa and black pepper.
