The wines used to produce Fonseca LBV are chosen from among the best and most full-bodied red port wines produced in the 2016 harvest, coming from the Fonseca vineyards and other renowned estates located in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior regions. These wines age in large wooden vats (about 27,500 liters capacity) and are bottled after four to six years. Only a limited quantity of this fabulous wine was produced.

Deep purple core with red rim
On the palate, spices, wild blackberries, Assam tea with its notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, and a seductive herbal touch. It shows excellent tension, concentration of wild black berries, silky tannins, and a fresh and shining finish, with a very long and generous aftertaste.
Rich, seductive, and very perfumed nose. Notes of blackberry, wild plum, raspberry, and licorice, presenting wonderful tension. The blackberries provide an additional layer of soft and fleshy fruits, a mix of raspberry and currant, with a touch of floral sweetness.
