Vinification of the Herdade do Freixo Reserva Red Wine 2019: the grapes from the different selected varieties are harvested according to their ideal state of maturation, in 20 kg boxes and immediately vinified. Destemmed and transported by gravity to the fermentation vats, this takes place at moderate temperatures for 20 days with prolonged maceration that provides this wine with extreme aromatic complexity. Its 12-month aging period in new French wood gives it remarkable complexity and elegance. Bottle maturation takes place for more than 8 months.
