Quinta de Covela practices organic farming on granite soils that form a natural amphitheater with various sun exposures. A landscape of terraces planted at low altitude on the right bank of the Douro River. Cold winters and hot, dry summers - on the border between the Mediterranean climate of the Douro Valley and the maritime influence of Douro Litoral. Hand-harvested. Transported in small crates to prevent crushing. Manual selection of the bunches. Gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Aged on fine lees until mid-February 2020. Lightly filtered before bottling.
