Edmundo B. Fernández, Inc. fue fundada a finales del siglo XIX por Pedro Fernández, un ingeniero español que se estableció en Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Comenzó a producir ron en su finca utilizando recetas familiares y métodos tradicionales. La destilería aún opera en la misma propiedad y continúa siguiendo los procesos artesanales establecidos por Fernández. Ron del Barrilito es uno de los rones más antiguos y respetados de Puerto Rico, conocido por su consistencia y calidad a lo largo de los años.
