The Cedar, named in honor of the emblematic tree that dominates the terrace of Quinta do Noval, is a genuine expression of the Douro. Made mainly with traditional Portuguese grape varieties, it also contains a proportion of Syrah, which rounds and opens the fruit and gives the wine great charm and approachability. The Cedar from Noval is a blended wine made with traditional grape varieties from the Douro region. In addition to these, it also includes the Syrah grape, whose plantings began at Quinta do Noval in the year 2000. Its varietal expression is enhanced by the excellent conditions found in the terroir of the Quinta.
