Vinification of Wine 2 (Two) Quintas Reserva Red 2019: The grapes, coming from selected plots of our Quintas de Ervamoira and Bons Ares, were harvested and selected manually, in small volume boxes. The grapes from Quinta de Ervamoira were vinified in granite presses and those from Quinta dos Bons Ares in round concrete and wooden vats. After unincubating and pressing in a vertical press, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrels of 6000 to 10000 liters. For 18 months it aged in barrels and new and one-year-old French oak barrels. The wine was bottled in May 2019.
Clear and bright, dense and concentrated appearance
The tannic structure is both powerful and polished, promising excellent aging potential. The Douro Superior in its splendor
Rich, mature, subtle and smoky nose. Among others, aromas reminiscent of black plums, figs, peaches, blackberries and Indian ink stand out, in a complex harmony that expresses the strength of the year 2017 with great elegance.
