Der Quinta do Crasto 40 Jahre ist ein alter Tawny Portwein, der aus der Reifung in portugiesischen Eichenfässern von etwa 610 Litern über einen durchschnittlichen Zeitraum von 40 Jahren resultiert. Hergestellt aus ausgewählten Portweinen aus den besten Weinbergen, bietet dieser Blend eine große Komplexität, die von den älteren Weinen stammt, während die jüngeren Weine frische Fruchtaromen und lebendige Säure mitbringen. Während seiner langen Reifung durchlaufen die alten Tawny Ports subtile Farbveränderungen, erwerben einen bernsteinfarbenen Ton und verwandeln die junge, reiche Frucht in Eleganz, wobei sie eine seidige Textur und intensive, sanfte Aromen zeigen, die nur die Zeit bieten kann.
