Natus Tinto In the heart of Vidigueira, at the southern foot of the Serra do Mendro, in schist soils of sandy loam and clay loam texture, the untrained vines are planted, which gave rise to this wine. The traditional grape varieties, mainly Trincadeira and Castelão, were hand-picked and foot-trodden for 2 days. At the spontaneous onset of fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the must was kept in uncoated clay jars from the 19th century, until the end of alcoholic fermentation. The aging of 12 months was done in century-old oak and Portuguese chestnut barrels. After decantation, we bottled an unfiltered, unstabilized wine.

Tense, crunchy, and elegant texture. It makes freshness its character and identity, never tiring, unfolding various layers of flavors, challenging the senses and presenting itself at the table.
Aromas of balm and spices, wrapped in fresh red fruit. Notes of forest with a floor of pine needles, delicate and very fine tannins, which translate in the mouth to reactive acidity.
