Vinha Grande is a classic and intense red wine from Douro, with a well-defined character that reflects all the richness and quality of the region in creating the best blended wines. Vinha Grande is part of the wine range from Casa Ferreirinha, the house with the greatest tradition in quality wines in Douro and one of its greatest global references. It is vinified in the modern Quinta do Seixo winery, in Cima Corgo, and at Quinta da Lêda, in Douro Superior, with refined technology. After gentle crushing and destemming, the grapes are sent to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place with long macerations. During this period, gentle extractions are carried out using existing maceration systems, pumping over, and/or a temperature-controlled robotic foot treader.
