Fruit de la conjugaison de raisins plus mûrs que la normale et de la persistance humaine qui prend plus de risques qu'elle ne devrait, naît ce vin Colheita Tardia. Il est né d'une idée de faire un vin doux non fortifié, rien d'habituel dans le Douro, d'autant plus qu'il s'agit d'un rouge ! Il a été récolté bien avancé novembre, en raison d'un automne sec et ensoleillé, qui a permis aux raisins de gagner un sucre supplémentaire tout en maintenant un parfait état sanitaire. Le résultat est un vin rouge doux, avec une grande concentration de sucre, qui n'a pas été entièrement fermenté, ayant été conservé dans le vin final. C'est l'un des rares, sinon le seul, colheita tardia ROUGE du Douro. Les raisins sont foulés à pied dans de petits lagares en inox. Ensuite, ils sont pressés et le moût fermente dans de petites cuves en inox, arrêtant la fermentation de manière naturelle avec le froid de l'hiver.

Bouche douce, avec beaucoup de corps, mais contrebalancée par une acidité rafraîchissante. Montre une énorme intensité de fruits, comme la griottes et la mûre mûre. Très pur et précis. Finale longue et balsamique, presque interminable.
arôme très prononcé de fruits type cerise noire en liqueur (ginja) et de gelée de mûre. Touches balsamiques.
