Morgado de Sta. Catherina is a benchmark for Arinto wines from the Bucelas region, carrying the centuries-old heritage of the great white wines of the area. The history of Morgado de Santa Catherina, which included Quinta da Romeira, dates back to 1703, the year it was established, fulfilling the wishes of D. Catarina de Bragança, queen consort of England. Wine made from Arinto grapes from the vineyards of Quinta da Romeira, hand-harvested. The musts fermented in stainless steel vats and French oak barrels. The proportions were carefully adjusted to allow the wood to be well integrated, without compromising the freshness, aromas, and characteristic flavors of Arinto. During the 8 months of aging in French oak barrels, the wine was integrated with the wood through stirring. After this period, the final blend was made, aging in stainless steel vats until bottling.

Very broad palate, with volume, in perfect balance with an Atlantic acidity. It remains aromatic in the mouth, framed by the barrel aging. Its finish is persistent.
