The grapes from the best plots of Quinta da Mata Fidalga, after undergoing strict production control, were hand-harvested into small 18 kg capacity boxes. At the winery, they were destemmed and crushed and subjected to a cold pre-fermentative maceration for 72 hours. Subsequently, alcoholic fermentation began at a controlled temperature, lasting 8 days, followed by a post-fermentative maceration of 2 more days. After malolactic fermentation, it aged in 350 L French Oak barrels for 20 months.

On the palate it is structured, full-bodied and with good gustatory balance, the tannins are round. The acidity is very moderate and it has good gustatory persistence.
Complex aroma, dominated by notes of black fruits, spices, tobacco, vanilla and coconut, the latter coming from the excellent wood where it aged.
