Vinification of Vinho 2 (Duas) Quintas Red: the grapes, hand-harvested in 150-kilogram capacity boxes, are crushed and destemmed before fermenting in granite lagares and stainless steel vats, where we extend the maceration time necessary to achieve a wine with the desired body and structure. After malolactic fermentation, 20% of the wine ages in French oak barrels, 30% in casks, and the remainder stays in stainless steel vats for 12 months.
