Description
A single malt whiskey aged in a combination of Bourbon casks and virgin oak casks. When the Tomatin Distillery was founded in 1897, Tomatin's isolated and idyllic setting was practically perfect. However, local labor was scarce, and the local inhabitants were scattered pastoralists and traders. The company began a construction project to accommodate its workforce. Since then, the distillery has remained at the heart of the community, and the community, in turn, is deeply connected to the distillery. This legacy endures, and Tomatin continues to be one of the few distilleries to house its dedicated artisans. The maturation period in Bourbon barrels and virgin oak barrels gives a subtle sweetness to The Tomatin Legacy, a peat-free whiskey that reveals aromas of vanilla bean, white chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate, gentle waves of fresh fruit flecked with ginger emerge before a light, clear finish.
