Porto Fundador is among the best-selling brands of Port wine in Portugal. Launched on the market in 1928, it became one of the best-selling Port Wine brands due to its quality as a 5-year-old tawny. Vinification of Founded Port Wine: fermentation begins in self-vinifiers with skin contact until fermentation is interrupted through the addition of wine brandy. Candidates for the blend then age in oak vats in order to preserve the fruity aromas and all the freshness of the wine.
