LBV ist ein Wein von höchster Qualität aus einer einzigen Ernte, der bis zu 4 Jahre nach der Ernte in Holzfässern reift und dann in Flaschen abgefüllt werden muss. Er ist vollmundig, weich und präsentiert Noten von reifen Früchten, Schokolade und Gewürzen. Die LBVs von Quinta do Portal werden nicht gefiltert, was ihnen eine Weiterentwicklung in der Flasche zu mehr Komplexität garantiert.
